What is the maximum coverage per controller?

A single FortSense 4® controller covers up to 4km of perimeter, divided into 4 independent zones of 1km each. Multiple controllers can be networked for larger sites.

Does it work in harsh weather conditions?

Yes. The passive fiber optic cable operates in rain, snow, fog, extreme heat, and dust. Advanced signal processing filters environmental noise while maintaining high detection sensitivity.

How are alarms reported?

Alarms are reported by zone (up to 4 zones per controller), allowing security teams to respond to the correct perimeter segment. Integration with VMS can trigger camera presets and lighting.

Is installation complex?

No. The sensing fiber mounts directly to existing fences or walls using standard cable ties or clips. No power or electronics are required on the perimeter, simplifying installation and reducing maintenance.
